Hi Fashion Loves,

My Special Place is an unlikely place where most people would not think, The AnMed Women and Children’s Hospital in Anderson SC or just the track around the hospital.   My whole intention this day was to get my walk in and head home but the air and the beauty of My Special Place stopped me in my tracks.  I went home and decided to put on a nice outfit to introduce the world to the place that keeps me in shape, calms my heart and instills creativity in my ever wondering brain.

The outfit I chose was Target’s A New Day Plaid Blazer which is the style for the season.  The colors are intermingled fabrics of Black, Burgundy and White.  The color mixture allowed me the idea of using a Burgundy Color pant, also from Target, to compliment the stylish blazer.

The accessories I have chosen for today’s style are also from Target a Black Handbag with embroidered flowers and chained shoulder straps just the right size for an adventure or social evening.  The footwear was a nice Heel from Target burgundy and gray in color which comes together nicely in a damask design.

Since I am not a celebrity a under shirt was necessary so I relied on my go to company JcPenney with an existing top in my closet. The top I paired with my ensemble is a white tank with black embroidered flowers which fits with the whole attire.

The colors of the outfit compliment the magic in the air and the feeling is hard to explain I love days like this when the colors intermingle together like a painter’s pallet.  The colors this day were mixing together unexpectedly to create a memorable design along with the dancing shadows wondering around like people in an art museum admiring the creativity of the Artist, God himself.

PHILIPPIANS 4:6
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made know to God.

******Why has a hospital track become my special place?????

As I mentioned in my previous blogs I am relaxed around water.  The AnMed Women and Children’s Campus opened in 2005 to assist in customers health needs and to promote wellness with its small pond which is surrounded with trees. The trees also partially covers the walking track for shade in those hot summer months in the south. During those summer months sometimes they turn on the sprinklers and I run through them like a small child thrilled at the simple things life has to offer.

I place my music; I have downloaded from Hip Hop, Rap, Country and other genras that have caught my attention, in my ears and proceed to exercising.  I get lost in my own world sometimes I dance and zone out of the cruel world.  My mind comes into focus even with the tunes blaring in my ears and I talk to God and ask him questions or ideas for my new Adventure pops in my head when I am thoroughly relaxed.

Sometimes especially after work I have to drag myself to My Special Place and sometimes I jump with enthusiasm but afterwards I feel so good and I sleep oh so well.  My Special Place frees my mind of all distractions.  Since my Bronchitis outbreak I have not been able to go to My Special Place. My sickness occurred before Christmas and my energy level has gone down along with my immune system.  I am feeling a little better today and I am hoping to get back to My Special Place very soon in order to clear my mind and get my sleep schedule back on track.

Fashion Loves pick your own Special Place no matter how strange it sounds to other people, their opinions don’t matter. Your sanity and your pursuit of your dreams are what you need to focus on and God will help you with that.

I try to read as much or as little of my Bible that time allows even when I can’t even hear God’s voice.  He loves me and I know if I stay in his word I will hear that little voice in my head again telling what it the next step.  I trust my God he is the only one I will trust because I have been let down by the world.

JEREMIAH 17:5-6
This is what the Lord says:
Cursed art those who put their trust in mere humans,
Who rely on human strength
And turn their hearts away from the Lord.
They are like stunted shrubs in the desert,
With not hope for the future.
They will live in the barren wilderness, In an uninhabited salty land.

Love,
Dana
